Target Audience

This continuing education activity is intended for use by health professionals who participate in the care of patients at risk for or suffering from osteoporosis, in the areas of primary care, endocrinology, geriatrics, gynecology, internal, obstetrics, orthopedics, osteopathy, pediatrics, physiatry, radiology, rheumatology and physical therapy.

This includes physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, pharmacists, physician assistants, technologists, researchers, public health professionals and health educators with an interest in osteoporosis and bone health.

Kathy William, EdD: Nothing to Disclose

Kathy’s almost 40 years of healthcare experience in her career include pediatric nursing, being a nursing, health, and parent educator, and geriatric expertise specializing in osteoporosis. Kathy played a critical role in the early development and implementation of the Healthy Bones Program for Southern California Kaiser Permanente. She recently served on the Board of Directors for American Bone Health in Oakland, California. She frequently advocates at Capitol Hill in Washington DC for critical osteoporosis initiatives and bills. Kathy is currently working as a bone health consultant. In her spare time she loves practicing yoga, taking long walks, reading books, and drinking coffee.
